Andrew Peterson recently gave a series of talks at the University of Pennsylvania, Trinity College Dublin, and the ICM Brain and Spine Institute in Paris, France, on the ethics of severe brain injury. Topics of these talks included an analysis of the new U.S. Practice Guideline Update on Disorders of Consciousness, a dialogue with Professor Joseph Fins, an international expert in the ethics of severe brain injury, and ethical issues in communicating with patients' families during recovery and rehabilitation.
These talks and subsequent publications are part of the Greenwall Foundation-funded project, The Ethics of Severe Brain Injury.
