Andrew Light, Director of the Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy, gave several interviews on March 17, 2017 on the impact of President Trump’s budget blueprint which called for elimination of the State Department’s Global Climate Change Initiative (GCCI) and U.S. Contributions to the Green Climate Fund, and the World Bank’s Climate Investment Funds, created under the Bush administration. Light helped to program GCCI funds during his time as Senior Advisor and India Counselor to the U.S. Special Envoy on Climate Change from 2013-2016 in the run-up to the creation of the Paris Agreement on climate change.
